FAQ (Live)
Below are the answers to some frequently asked questions regarding Gino’s shows. If you have any other questions – regarding live shows or other – please submit them via the contact page or my email, ava@thevannellivault.com, and I will try my best to answer as quickly and accurately as possible with the knowledge I possess!
I do plan on making a “general” FAQ page, so stay tuned!
Meet & Greet Questions
Q: “Is there a meet and greet available?”
A: Typically, yes. In recent years, the meet and greet has included an opportunity to watch the band soundcheck, early merch shopping access, and a meet & greet with Gino, where you can get autographs and a picture. The photo will always be taken on your own device, however, sometimes Gino has a professional photographer (Patti Battista) with him, who will also get your picture on her camera (if you wish.) It is important to note that shows do not always have the meet and greet option available. In such case, some people have had luck waiting by the stage door, but that does not always work. Try at your own whim, results may vary. Always call the venue to confirm whether or not a formal M&G add on is available, never buy from 3rd party sites.
Q: How much does a Meet & Greet ticket cost?
A: Between $65-$101. Yes, that is a broad range, but in recent years the price has fluctuated depending on the show. If forced to give an “average” since 2023, it has usually been about $80.
Q: Patti took my photo at the meet and greet. Where can I download it?
A: You can find your image(s) at battistaphotography.com. Typically, it takes about 2 weeks for them to be uploaded to the site, so have patience! At any show she is present, you will usually receive a business card with her website link on it. I advise to store this on your fridge, cork board, or other highly visible place so within the 2 weeks you don’t forget!
Q: Can I record at the M&G or Concert?
A: No. Photos and videos are not permitted during Gino’s shows. Of course you are free to take as many pictures as you want when you actually meet him. But during the actual performance, Gino asks all attendees to refrain from taking any photos or videos, as it is distracting to both him and the band.
Q: How many items can I have signed?
A: Although there is no stated hard limit, the sweet spot is around 2-4.
Tip: If you are bringing CDs, just leave the actual CD and Jewel case at home. Only bring the insert. Not only does that take up less space in your purse/pocket/hands, but it is less work for Loretta, Gino’s VIP Assistant. 😉
Q: Can I meet the rest of the band at the Meet & Greet?
A: Yes, absolutely! You can also meet Gino’s brother, Ross, who manages him and runs FOH. You are able to speak with the band after the show, as well. Jay & Damian are known to stay and chat as they load out.
Q: Is my seat included with a meet & greet (and vice versa)?
A: No, the meet and greet is available at an additional cost, and is just an upgrade.
Q: Is Gino nice?
A: Yes, he is extremely kind! Do not be afraid to speak with him, or ask him any of your burning questions. He is very chatty and enjoys hearing about people’s lives and stories.
Q: Is the soundcheck portion of the meet and greet general admission seating?
A: Yes! E.g., if you have tickets in “row G” for the show, but would like to sit in the front row of the soundcheck, you are absolutely permitted to do so.
Q: What time is the meet & greet?
A: Doors for the M&G open around 4. It runs until about 4:50 pm. You are not permitted to loiter inside the venue after the M&G is finished.
Performance Questions
Q: Does Joe still tour with Gino?
A: No. Gino’s current keyboardist is David Goldblatt.
Q: Who is currently in Gino’s band?
A: See the page Touring Band for information on Gino’s current lineup and use of local musicians.
Q: What time does Gino take the stage?
A: Showtime may vary depending on if there’s an opener. But a general idea is:
If there is an opener: 8, wrapped by 10-10:30
If there’s no opener: 7-7:30, wrapped by 9-9:30
